Photographe professionnelle depuis une vingtaine d’années, ma passion pour la photographie,la peinture et le théâtre m’ont entraînée à explorer d’autres médiums tel que la sérigraphie. Il m’est alors venu naturellement l’envie de travailler sur une forme plastique qui m’a fait découvrir le plaisir de pouvoir intervenir physiquement dans le résultat des images et dans un début de mise en scène. Mélangeant le passé et le présent, j’aime la rencontre des gens qui me parlent du passé ; en replongeant dans la matière se raconte l’histoire du temps;  histoires de vie, de naissance et de départ.

Après une école d’art à Paris ” Union centrale des arts décoratifs”,caro a suivi des cours de théâtre. La photo l’amène à commencer sa vie professionnelle en tant que photographe ; d’abord pour le théâtre puis vers le portrait. En 1991 Caro part pour l’Angleterre où elle travaille en tant qu’assistante photographe avant de se spécialiser dans le portrait de famille. Caro reprend des études au “Camberwell college of arts” et au “London college of printing” à Londres pour y découvrir la sérigraphie et la gravure. De retour en France Caro installe son atelier au Pays Basque.

Caro started out as a professional photographer after her art school in Paris ‘ Union centrale des arts décoratifs’ and then through her passion for photography, painting and theatre explored other media such as etching and screen printing at ‘Camberwell college of art’ and at ‘London college of printing’ in London. After several years of experimentation with screen printing, she became more and more interested in manipulation of texture and form, which quite naturally led her towards her work with installations. Mixing the past and the present in her works, Caro thrives on contact with people and the exploration of links between roots, birth, life, transmission and departure. Caro is a french artist based in France.
